It was a quick break downtown to see the first Farmer’s Market of 2019.
I parked on Main and Court Avenue, making my way through the arcade to the back of the market.
Downtown is ready for Memorial Day this weekend. It gives one pause to see the flags on display and think about the significance.
Henderson’s produce is at their usual corner. I can’t tell you how excited I am to see these tomatoes now! At long last!
Crust and Crumb is located by 20/20 Optical. They also have baked goods available at the Farmer’s Market on Fridays. The photo above shows cinnamon and raisin bagels. Divine!
One of my new favorite places downtown: Crust and Crumb. Go there for breakfast, lunch, and coffee. Coffee!
This is one of my favorite vendors. I love her soaps and other products. She is so friendly!
A vintage fire truck was at the market with some firefighters. You don’t see that every day.
This is an interesting couple. Talk to them some time and hear their story.
The Sevierville Farmer’s Market is great for families to explore.
This may be a new vendor. Will check it more closely next week.
This is another favorite vendor for their beautiful flowers and blooms. They will soon have sunflowers!
Kyle Grainger from WVLT TV was ready to film for the first day of the market.
This was the prize of the day! I took a box back to work and brightened 11 colleague’s day with a Ham and Goody’s lemon cookie.
Music in the background adds a lot to the the shopping experience. Everyone enjoyed it.
As the church bells began ringing at noon, crowds began to pour into the market.
It was time for me to go so I took a look a last look back and then headed for lunch at Courthouse Donuts.
This is my favorite place to hang out. I got a seat by the big window and waited for the special of the day: a tuna melt with a pasta side and a donut. The rocking chair is beautiful and I’ll bet that I know where that came from. Jennifer, owner of Courthouse Donuts, said that she was feeling the impact of the farmer’s market because it was extremely busy all morning. Good news!
Summer is just a few days away. The downtown Sevierville Farmer’s Market is just getting started and I can just imagine the produce that is heading our way from local farmers and growers. The Sevierville Farmer’s Market may be my favorite way to get out and about in Sevierville during the summer.
See you next Friday!
